On Monday was Alex's 19th birthday, WooHooo!!!! Bobby did have work, which was good and bad, so he got to join in the festivities as well. Alex wanted to go bowling and we had Pizza Hut for dinner. My parents' foreign exchange student, Tiago, went for a run and came back an hour and a half later with everyone looking frantically for him. We were suppose to leave 45 min. prior to him coming back, so we were slightly concerned that he had gotten lost. Instead of leaving at 4:30, we left at 5:30 to go to dinner. Bobby and I were driving and got stuck at a red light. Unfortuantely I thought we were heading to Mesa, where we were going bowling, so Bobby and I drove as if we were going Mesa. Finally a little concerned that we have not seen my parents' suburban on the road, I was going to text and see if I was correct. Luckily at the same time my parents realized that we probably were lost. My parents had stopped at a Pizza Hut on the way to Mesa, and we had driven 10 min. passed that point. By the time we got to the restaurant the food was already delivered and one whole pizza almost devoured.
We then went bowling, which was a lot of fun. We played 2 games, unfortuantely most of us did worse the second game than the first game and the first game wasn't much to boast about. Dad and Trevor were the only ones to break 100 in the first game, apparently we need more practice. Richie really enjoyed bowling and when it was time to go home started crying because he still wanted to bowl. It was 9:30 p.m. so he was really tired anyways without the disappointment of putting his ball and shoes away. I got a cute, but blurry picture of Richie at the bowling alley, but I don't know how to get it from my cellphone cammera to the computer. Anyways, no one brought a cammera so no great pictures of us bowling. We had a lot of fun, though.

Richie's 3rd Birthday
Yesterday, August 2nd was Richie's birthday. Since there isn't a whole lot you can do on Sunday we had a party on Saturday. I have not yet been brave enough to invite kids Richie's age and have a party, so I invited a couple of my friends and their families. We went swimming at the Anthem Community Center, had a barbeque at my mom's house, and opened presents and had cake. You can see how ambitious I am. I decided to decorate his cake, which I should have done the day before. Being pregnant I am always tired. By the time I got the the cake I didn't care, which is why it looks interesting. I needed to make more frosting, but didn't muster-up the energy to do so.

Dinner went great and Richie loved blowing out the candles at his party. We had a Cars theme, as it is his favorite show. Richie is still figuring out the whole present opening thing. As soon as he gets one open he wants to play with it, but everyone is urging him to open other presents. Maybe next year he'll get into it.

Richie got a doctor kit and a foam puzzle ABC and 123's from Grandma & Grandpa Jones. He, also, got a new Cars Movie, a Cars T-shirt, and some bath toys from Mom & Dad.
